Large Extended Family Vacation Rentals in Cocoa Beach are Cheaper than multiple hotel rooms
I have known about AirBnB and vacation rentals for a very long time, but I never used them or saw their value until recently. Before AirBnB ever existed, my grandmother would hold large family gatherings usually at her house. She had 6 children, their spouses and a slew of grandchildren all congregating in one place. One gathering she decided to have in Cocoa Beach and rented some connecting rooms at a beach front hotel. It probably cost her a fortune. This Summer I was finally able to see the value. I was fortunate enough to be a part of some large group gatherings, and was amazed at how much nicer and more affordable it was for all of us to stay in one house, instead of renting multiple hotel rooms. In Cocoa Beach I stayed in 2 different houses. Both had a swiming pool and hot tub, both were one block from the beach and within walking distance to the Cocoa Beach Pier. One was for a smaller group and slept 8 people. The other house was for a larger group and slept 14 people. The larger house utilized the large garage as a game room. They both came out cheaper than if each of our families tried to get our own hotel rooms, plus we had the privacy of having the whole place to ourselves and we had a full kitchen and dining room to gather as a family instead of eating out for every meal.
